Licensed Alcohol & Drug Counselor

Christy is a 2008 graduate of the Alcohol and Drug Studies program at Minnesota State University, Mankato. She is passionate about helping individuals find confidence in being their authentic selves and believing that they deserve recovery.

She likes to use a strengths-based and trauma -informed approach to teaching CBT and DBT skills. In addition, Christy enjoys helping clients obtain maximum executive functioning by implementing daily structure surrounding spiritual, physical and emotional wellbeing to help them reach their individual goals and improve relationships.

Hoping to improve the substance use field through education and legislative advocacy Christy is an active member of MARRCH and has serves on the board representing Region 7.

Christy is a mother to two very active boys who keep her on her toes. In her free time she enjoys camping and watching performing arts. She is also an active member of her church where serves as the ad-council president.

What We Treat

Wellcome Manor is much more than Substance Use Disorder Treatment.  We use a comprehensive approach where each client is paired with a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor as well as a mental health therapist to address your unique mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual health needs.

Our Programs

In developing individualized personalized care plans for women, we use a variety of therapeutic approaches based on your needs and desires – including women’s issues groups, mindful meditation, health education, parent education, 12 step, cognitive behavioral therapy, relapse prevention and more.

Why Wellcome Manor

Since 2007, we have provided women and women with children a safe and supportive environment to recover from substance abuse and co-occurring disorders.  Each individual in our care is treated with a personalized and holistic approach specifically for women.
